There are a slew of scary Halloween movies out there that could prevent you from sleeping for weeks. But there are also a number of fun DVDs tailored just for tots. Take this quiz and see how well you know your children's fright night flicks.
The process of choosing your lil one's pediatrician is not easy. You ask around, do the research and interview until you find one that you trust with your newborn's life. You choose her because you trust her and feel comfortable with her philosophies. But there often comes a time where you question your doctor's orders or directed course of action. So we want to know, do you always listen to your doctor?
While I was growing up, my entire family would sit at the table to enjoy my mom's cooking and discuss our day. Today, it's not quite as easy with my husband sometimes out of town on business. Rather than lose out on the valuable bonding time that comes with dinner, I have begun including my daughter in some mealtime preparation. It allows me to teach her new skills and keeps her out of trouble when I am preparing the meal.
My most recent toddler-aided meal was a fun take on breaded chicken. Knowing how much my lil one loves an occasional treat of chips, I used baked tortilla chips to serve as breading. While I was busy prepping the raw chicken, I gave her a bag of chips and told her to go to town smashing them. She jumped on the bag, pounded it with her fists and finally she took a wooden cooking spoon to it. By the time she was done, I was ready for the tortilla crumbs and she was beaming at her accomplishment.
Julia Roberts recently sported a lil patch of pink hair and attributed the hued lock to her daughter, Hazel. The three year-old thought pastel tresses would look good on her mommy, so the actress obliged with a few colored strands.
If the look wasn't dramatically different, would you do this for your child? INF
Mamas always remember to tuck cheerios, yogurt tubes, raisins and boxed drinks into their bags for their children, but they don't necessarily think to pack a snack for themselves. For women on the move, it's important to keep some healthy munchies like dried fruit, sliced veggies, a handful of nuts or a granola bar within their reach. That way they can refuel while running errands or waiting in the carpool line.
It's no secret that some Tinseltown parents have political leanings. Matt Damon has been hitting the Obama campaign trail hard while Elisabeth Hasselbeck works it for Sarah Palin. Check out the slideshow to see if you know which box some of Hollywood's hippest parents will check next Tuesday! Source and Source
Striped dresses and athletic sweats are a dime a dozen. Lia Molly, on the other hand, has a line of crushingly cute clothes for precious lasses. Hand knitted with eye-popping threads, the droolicious details of fabulous appliqués and velvet ribbons add to the charm of each piece. Seen more like a work of art than a sweater or a dress, I am tempted to buy the whole collection. I just don't know how I will choose between the tea party sweater, the mouse beret, or the spotted sweater dress.
The best part about these unique pieces? You can turn them into something else when your tot outgrows them — a pillow, quilt or perhaps even framing the wee wear for a childhood keepsake.
