Thanks to technology, you're able to get a look at your wee one before she makes her debut. New parents cherish the blurry black and white image that is their bundle of joy's first ultrasound picture and the refrigerator door (where it usually ends up) hardly seems like a worthy spot to display it. Instead, frame it. Simple frames such as the Koala Baby Sonogram Frame ($17) will show off your prized possession.
The holidays can be hectic, but a good book presents the perfect opportunity to get some one-on-one time with your tot. I've picked five seasonal reads, classic and new, that will get you both geared up for Santa's arrival.
Wrap It Up: Handprint Holiday Paper The economy may have families cutting back, but creativity comes free of charge! Instead of tossing rolls of pricey wrapping paper into your cart at the store, take the time to teach your tots how to make festive prints with their hands, fingers and even feet. The colorful gift wrap makes presents extra special and the activity can become a beloved holiday tradition.
Bringing sexy back in the delivery room? While lots of women say they are more in touch with their bodies while pregnant, doula, Debra Pascali-Bonaro, takes that concept to an entirely different level encouraging women to enjoy labor to the point of orgasm as their baby births. Couples allowed cameras to roll as delivering mothers climaxed (or came close) in a documentary called, Orgasmic Birth.
In the film, Christina Northrup says, “When the baby’s coming down the birth canal, remember, it’s going through the exact same positions as something going in, the penis going into the vagina, to cause an orgasm."
Hanukkah means eight nights of presents so help your mini mes create gift wrappings fit for the Festival of Lights. Having your wee ones take part in the creative process allows them to explore their artistic side and puts the holiday emphasis on giving. Check out our Hanukkah designs and come back tomorrow to see other inventive ways lil is wrapping things up this season!
If you have ever been awakened by a crying baby that can't find her pacifier, you may want to take a look at the Paci Partner ($34). The Paci Partner is a weighted tube that attaches directly to a specially designed binky, making it easy for newborns to find their sucker in the dark of night. Designed by nurses and respiratory therapists, each kit comes with two tubes, two outer sleeves and three pacifiers.
Knowing that parents will do just about anything for their lil one to fall asleep on their own, would you buy a Paci Partner?
Gap called out for parents to enter their kids in the company's annual Casting Call and man, oh man, did moms and dads answer! Nearly 900,000 entries were submitted before they were narrowed down to 20 finalists. Those cuties and their chaperones made their way to San Francisco a few weeks ago for a professional photo shoot that I was lucky enough to attend. After meeting a few of the lil darlings, I don't know who to choose! It's up to the public to vote so check out this slideshow of Gap's showstopping guys to help you make your decision! And, if your kid didn't make the cut, they can still get the look by entering lilsugar's giveaway.
