Playing into my son's obsession with all things Little Einstein, I forked out forty dollars for the Little Einstein's Pat Pat Rocket and am certain it will be worth every penny as the poor kid has spent the last three months turning everything from a scrap of paper to a broken crayon into a rocket ship. Though rumor has it that Santa is bringing him a bike, my best guess is that it's the spacecraft that will be the big hit.
Which present do you suspect will be the most well received in your house this holiday?
When moms blog, we often broadcast aspects of our lives including stories about our partners and tidbits about our children similar to how women swap stories (or vent) at the playground. Do you think it's appropriate?
A star is born, and I'm not referring to a new celebaby. I'm talking about Baby Star, a design conscious baby apparel and accessories company. From soft and functional blankets to modern and cute onesies, Baby Star has style, but doesn't forget the importance of a healthy baby (and environment) — all the products are made of cotton and plush fabrics that are formaldehyde-free. And if you're doing your best to keep big brands from taking over your decor, Baby Star will aid in your fight.
In 2008, there were some headlines that made our jaws drop. From awkward family incidents to shocking delivery mishaps and an amazing pregnancy to a cringe worthy caretaker. Can you guess which four stories were most eye-opening? Check out our slideshow to see our picks.
When my uncle played Santa last year at our Christmas dinner, my kids called him out within minutes. So I was a lil hesitant when my husband agreed to be St. Nick at my daughter's preschool holiday party. Once he was outfitted in the fluffy red suit, he deepened his voice and was careful not to focus much attention on her as he came through the door or interacted with the other children. Though she didn't let on that she knew it was her dad while he was there, later in the day she told me that he had come to class as Santa. When I played dumb, my daughter said she was sure it was him because he was wearing Adidas and his wedding and anniversary rings. But, she didn't mind since Santa was busy in the North Pole and asked him to fill in. If you're planning to dress up as the jolly old guy this holiday, pay attention to the details — kids notice everything! Source
Darling daddy Gabriel Aubry passed down his model good looks on to his daughter, Nahla, and is melting more hearts than just that of his baby mama, Halle Berry. The Canadian-born gent won the title of favorite new papa with 36 percent of the vote edging out another fan favorite, Matthew McConaughey who had 23 percent.
Both father figures seemed to have made the transition to life with baby seamlessly, as we often see them toting their tots around town. And, we can't wait to see if lil Nahla and Levi end up with siblings! Pacific Coast News
The time spent in labor is often looked at as a badge of honor, but no matter how long it took to bring her bundle of joy into the world, some mamas feel entitled to bragging rights. My girlfriend is nearing her due date and has been asking everyone she knows how long their laboring process was; she's gotten answers from 30 minutes to 48 hours. If you're expecting, you'll probably hope yours will be on the shorter side, but for those who have already delivered — how long was your labor?
