As temperatures rise in LA, it was a big weekend of outdoor fun for many of our favorite celebrity families. While Heidi Klum and Jessica Alba were hitting the playground with their little ones, Victoria Beckham and her boys got touristy in Rome. There were lots of good times to be had, so check out the slideshow of what the families were up to this week.

It's important to keep lil limbs warm even when the sun is shining, but that doesn't mean layers have to be boring. Mommy Jessica Alba accessorized her daughter, Honor, in bright pink from head to toe while Isla Fisher took her darling, Olive, out for a stroll in pink-and-white polka-dot tights that proved color isn't just for ballerinas. If you want to mimic the look and get your wee one ready for Valentine's Day early, check out the inexpensive selection of pink leggings at Gap right now.
From smelling salts to ginger ale, every mama-to-be has her own way of fending off morning sickness, but when you simply can't beat the nausea — grab a bag! And, there is one company that is trying to make even an expectant mama tossing her cookies chic. The compact, disposable and stylishly designed Morning Chicness Bags (pack of 10 for $7.50) are made of a thick paper with a leak-proof polyethylene lining and an attached closure. Pregnant women can keep them in their purse or glove compartment in the event they get woozy and these sacks also come in handy for postpartum mommies dealing with hangovers.
We met this season's lovable Bachelor, Jason Mesnick, last year on The Bachelorette and quickly learned the Seattle divorced dad is raising his son Ty all by his lonesome. Jason's devotion to Ty was central to almost every conversation he had on the show so it comes as no surprise that the lil guy will play a role (and make appearances) during his father's quest for a wife.
While I understand the appeal of Jason's sporty and sweet dad persona, I was shocked to learn how many of the female contestants on the show have young children at home. The fact that Jason is open to finding a family for Ty and that producers are willing to cast mothers is applaud-worthy, but is the chance at love worth leaving your child? Would you welcome strangers into your home when your wee one was sick? How about encouraging your tot to share licks of a lollipop or a sippy cup with another who was under the weather? Or shipping your child's pajamas across the country in the wild hope that the kid who wears them gets your lil one's ailment? This is what New York mamas are doing to try and get their youngsters to contract the chicken pox. A recent New York Post piece focused on chicken pox parties, soirees parents are throwing to spread the illness so their children do not have to get the chicken pox vaccine required to get into the New York school system. It said:
Since 1999, kindergartners entering school in New York state must have had either the virus or the varicella vaccine, which protects against both chicken pox and shingles. But with recent public controversy concerning a possible link between vaccines and autism, some parents are turning to pox parties to protect their kids—by making them sick.
Aside from making your child uncomfortable, pediatricians also warn that, "Most of the time chicken pox is a mild disease, but you can die from the complications." What's your take — are you down with the craze or think chicken pox parties are plain crazy? Source
