True that, I feel a little bit of shame, but I kind of loved Evita. Also, that one song, Don't Tell Me, written by her brother in law (whom I love) Joe Henry (if you haven't heard his version, I recommend as well). Otherwise, not an enormous Madonna fan.

Madonna is great, I love her old music and the new is good as well. She could care less as to what they think about her, I admire her for that. Beside she looks good.
Madonna is always gonna be... MADONNA.
I admire her business savvy and strong -- headstrong-- nature.

Is it just me, or am I the only one wondering why anyone in hollywood who makes that much money would have any wrinkles at all? Not just tagging Madonna, but a lot of hollywood stars.
With access to worlds best plastic surgery, microdermabrasion, threading, sunless tanning options what is up? etc.... hrmmm
Because a woman is always more beautiful the way she is, and Madonna as a extremely smart person knows that. You always see if somebody had plastic surgery, no matter how good it is done. We still cannot trick nature- and should we?
It is the stupid TV, the stupid Hollywood who has brainwashed us to see Beauty only as young ( and preferably anorexic). There are tons of mature women who look stunning without the so called "help" and it is because true Beauty comes really from within. It is the way you feel about yourself.

While I agree with you wholeheartedly regarding beauty coming from within, there is nothing wrong with being beautiful on the outside either. That would be REVERSE discrimination against the beautiful.

Yes, nothing wrong with outside beauty, it is nice to look at What I really ment was, that if you feel beautiful, you are. Or you become, whatever. I have noticed it with me, also. The most compliments from people I get on days when I really feel beautiful and know, that I am.
And plastic surgery could not give you that feeling, at least not for a long time. Deep inside you know, that you are fake
I love her music, I loved Evita, I saw the Broadway show with the original cast and it was not as good, I went to Evita disliking Madonna and hoping to overlook her as I liked Jonathn Pryce and Antonio Banderas and its a great story, she moved me to tears, but I have never seen her do or say anything since that was so real, she is too plastic and wooden in real life and has a very artificial persona, very flat. And that horrible laugh, she needs to be totally scripted and produced altho I think her stage shows are overproduced and lifeless. But I like to dance to her music in the club :)JLo has a terrible personality in real life; very flat and awkward, she is only good when she is choregraphed and posing.
Surely everyone is entitled to express their opinion, but comparing Madonna with JLo..I can't bear it
I personally love Madonna's shows. They are truly queenly. But I agree with you on the persona thing, she's really appearing somehow flat and even..stupid. The thing is, I doubt quite a lot, that this is the real Madonna. A person who has an IQ of more than 160(!) and who has achieved what she has achieved. As someone said in "In Bed with Madonna":- "To the contrary of the popular believe, most of her life is spent off camera". Or something like that
oh no no no sure jlo great in her way, but there is non way that jlo can be compare to madonna . Don't get me wrong I like jlo but madonna is the one!!!!

Madonna is my favorite artist. I have a lot of admiration for anyone who can show up in NYC with $36 in their pocket and make it. I wish I had those guts. I loved her performance of Imagine on her tour. I really loved the Dick Tracy album and would have to say Holiday and Vogue are my favorite songs. Dont forget to say "cheers" and have a drink on her birthday August 16th.
