Will You Watch Table for 12?

Last night, TLC premiered its new show, Table for 12, which falls somewhere between Jon and Kate Plus 8 and The Duggars: 18 and Counting. Eric and Betty Hayes have their hands full with two sets of twins, ages 12 and 10, and a set of four-year-old sextuplets that includes a daughter who has cerebral palsy. The down-to-earth couple keeps their sense of humor amid all the chaos. Will you continue to tune in?

I love your show watch it all they time. How do they take care of 10 kids and 1 with Cerebral Palsy. The Hayes family rock's

This show is fabulous. The kids are all treated with respect and respect is given to the parents. There is constant love and understanding between both parents. I also see this as a very enjoyable family show. Jon and Kate, although I feel for Kate, is so upsetting and hard to watch. I truly hope they both realize what they are throwing away. Gone are the days where the family was put first and you played the hand you were dealt. I wish the best for the Hayes family and can't wait to see lots more of them!!

These parents are adults. They act responsibly to their children. There is no screaming fits such as has been on Jon & Kate. I loved it when the mother is cooking sauce and hubby asked for a taste. She was so collected about saying no that I bet a lot of people missed that. I believe that they will outdraw Jon & Kate four ways from Sunday. And they interact with their relatives which Jon & Kate don't seem to do. Sincerely, Norma Mizer

do you call love lettin your children run wild in your home, smart mouth each other and not care about their cleanliness or how their clothes look you may not have the best clothes, but they could be pressed and hung- does tara have downs syndrome?

Not yes only is the mother unkept and heavy but the father is not a very good example of a police officer allowing his children to sit in car seats that are not properly fitted and allowing the older children to jump back and forth across the seats while the father is driving yes Meghan is overweight and that is probably from their lifestyle of eating - she is also a smart mouth as well as Kyle

I agree with # 19-I just can't stand them and I am not buying the Ragu anymore after this gross commercial.

I just watched my first episode of Table for 12 tonight...the one where they went to Niagara Falls over Easter weekend. I absolutely loved every member in that family. The parents are genuine, loving and unpretentious. I notice that the sextuplets don't have to wear matching outfits like the Gosselin kids do. I love the attention they give to their CP child. She is a lucky little girl to have been born into that family. Good for them.

LOVE Betty and Eric! Betty is a great shining example of a good mother!! I liked how she only had a manicure instead of spendiing all day at the spa in ep. 1. Can u imagine Kate G doing that? not a chance!

Don't like this show. The kids are treated like slaves expecially the boy who takes care of the special needs child. The Dad is cocky and the mom is an idiot. And what kind of person would teach their kids to go to the bathroom in a public park? Am I the only one that thought that was crazy expecially for a cop!

i really like this show because its based on average and normal people they are down to earth and act realistic and not all possesive and pycho liek kate gosselin..i mean i like her kids but she just got the fame and idk all the crazy outta hand they look bad...but these they actually seem like an avergae nice people adn i admire anybody who has kids with special needs since to me they are angels and i admire that

I agree %100 with #17 I could not stand Kate any longer. I was not entertained by watching her constant tirades, her refusal to let the children be like normal kids, and SO tired of watching her pack and organize for trips!Its hard to relate to them since she acts like the queen of England and lives like it to. Maddy is constantly throwing a temper tantrum probably because she has watched her mother do it for so long, I can't watch her do it any more they need to put some thought into counseling. The Hayes family is so likable, there are tough times and hectic moments, and crying that's to be expected. They are so compassionate and so are their children to little Rebbecca. They have their hands so much fuller with a handicapped child and more kids. They crack me up the light hearted way they interact. I enjoy watching them! I think they are AMAZING with Rebbecca she is their priority- not lost in the pack, they include her in everything and do as much for her as they can. Its so great to watch a normal family that is interesting. The parents have awesome personalities!This is the family I would rather reflect on when I'm taking care of my family.

I love the Hayes family. The parents respect each other, they don't put each other down and you can tell they love each other and their kids. Kate is always telling us they love each other, but she never shows it. Jon, yes he is a better parent. Maddy is going to grow up to be just like her mother. I say keep the Hayes family, and also Jon and 7 out of eight kids. Kate and Maddy can be doing what they want off camera.

I think this family ran out of money to take care of the kids (cops salary) and dec ided to jump on the band wagon of realty shows - they are a very crude family and i sure dont want my children to think that is how they should act in public at 5 yrs old - they seem to be behind in many skills and socialization and by looking at them i wonder if Tara may hav e downs symdrome as she has some features of downs the spaghetti commercial is really gross and i will never use Ragu again - the father thinks he is real macho - perhaps because he is a cop-and i dont find his sense of humor funny or family oriented this show should have been based on rebecca and not the other kids - show them only in the background and put your money TLC into helping get special needs assessments for rebecca, get her the best possible help - i know that CP kids can make a difference and can be taught other ways to communicate but this family just throws her over their shoulder and drags her around to what they and the other children want to do -GET REBECCA SOME SCHOOLING AND HELP TO COMMUNICATE

I stopped watching Jon & Kate a long time ago. I couldn't stand the way Kate nagged and criticized Jon every chance she got and yet when on the rare occasions he snapped back, she acted so offended. Also, Kate's compulsiveness about not letting her kids get messy, wear matching outfits and the general lack of physical affection between the parents while Kate seems to spend a lot of time/money on herself, was too much for me. Now, finally the Table for 12 show is a breath of fresh air. The mother is loving and PATIENT and seems really happy rather than acting like a martyr for having so many kids (take notes, Kate Gosselin), the parents show their love for each other, they have a sense of humor, and they seem to act normal in front of the camera. Betty Hayes is much more likable than Kate Gosselin and her husband seems to be much happier than Jon Gosselin since he doesn't have a wife always putting him down.

I do have a problem with high number multiples by IVF, since there is such a high risk for birth defects, and they have one child with cerebral palsy. It seems to me that shows like this encourage high number multiple births on the hope that they can get a TV show too, ala Nadya Suleman. The problem is that people are willing to have large number of multiples, without regard to the consequences. I agree with macgirl, they had two sets of twins, why risk having a disabled child just to implant a large number of embryos. That's not what IVF is for.

I love this show. The family is so much more down to earth than some others you see on tv. The entire family is very likeable and very loving. And they're so... normal. I can't think of another word to describe it. They're like any other family you will meet, but with 10 kids. The kids are all well behaved, but not perfect. And the parents are just so loving, and just try to do the best thing for their family. It's great to see a family like this on tv. Five minutes into the show you just fall in love with the whole family.

Oh and @ skigirl. I know plenty of large families (10+ kids) all natural born. The last guy I dated was the oldest of 13 (and yes they were normal). The tv attraction is the large multiple births, not the fact that they have a big family.

I dvr'd it, also, expecting the train-wreck-tv that is Jon and Kate. But this family is just so genuine, they are real folks, and don't have the we're-better-than-the-world attitude that is the essence of the Gosselins. I just can't watch that show, it's sickening. And these folks seem to handle their family better, they're not perfect and don't try to be. And I definitely applaud their efforts in providing a loving atmosphere for their special needs daughter. If any reality show is truly reality, it's probably this one. Nice job.

I watched this family the other night. The parents are great and they have a great, lighthearted and loving attitude! I like these shows. Much better than the crap that is on some other stations (ahem! Vh1).

TLC really needs to stop encouraging these people....why on Earth, if you already had 4 kids would you feel the need to go and get artificially pregnant again??? It bothers me greatly that TLC constantly rewards people for very selfish behaviours.

I'm sure these people give their children plenty of love. As for having that many kids if they can support them why is it a problem for them to have them. As long as they can support and love their children I don't see it as a problem. Octomom on the other hand is living off the state and that is the problem with her situation. Also they do not ask for these shows they are given to them. Just because big families aren't the norm doesn't mean they are bad.
