Would You Trade Your Purse For a Fancy Fanny Pack?

Beautiful Brooke Shields and her darling daughter, Rowan Henchy, headed to the Jonas Brothers concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City recently. Now that the 4-year-old is getting to be a big girl, mama went without a purse and opted for a fancy leather fanny pack.

While the waist-clinching sack is certainly practical for a mother on the move, would you forgo your bag for one?

My mom and I had these in every single NEON color in the late 80s early 90s. Now I see several old men running with them at the park. This is a trend that needs to stay DEAD!!!!

Lol, uhhhh gee.. I dunnooo-oh. Brooke Shields is sophisticated enough to get away with it -- but unless I was walking/running w/that thing turned toward my backside ....hidden in the front by my shirt, I can't do the fanny-pack. (I'd stuff whatever I need for the day in my toddler/daughter's bag before I did that.)

Ok, they're not very flatering and I've never had them, but I can't help but think how handy and useful they are!! your hands are free and everything you need is on your waist!! A purse is bulky and a back pack you have to take off to get stuff. I don't think i'll be getting one, but wouldn't it be great if they went back in style?!?!

Honestly I just stuff what I need in my bra or wear something with pockets if I don't want to tote my purse.
