Would You Swing Your Vote to Put a Mom in Office?

As moms, when we cast our votes we cast them not only for ourselves, but for our under-aged children. John McCain made an interesting and likely calculated decision when he tapped Sarah Palin to be his running mate. The Governor of Alaska is a parent to five children aged 4 months to 19 years old — Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper, and Trig. While Palin's juggling of career and family (including a son with special needs — her baby was diagnosed with Down syndrome) certainly is admirable, is it enough for the Republicans to win your vote?

Are the 72-year-old presidential candidate and the 44-year-old mother your idea of a dream team?

I don't even think "years wise" she has more experience. The same year she started serving on the city council, Obama was teaching Constitutional Law. Teaching constitutional law counts as relevant experience in my book.

She's not qualified because she was the mayor of a town of 6,000 and she's not qualified because she was the governor of Alaska. She just doesn't seem qualified for VP in my opinion.

Kennedy had very little experience and if he wasn't assassinated I think he would have done tremendous things for this country. Experience is everything.The way I look at is if McCain wins and were to get into office and God forbid he dies, I would be scared out of my mind. I don't think she could be a good President or VP. Now if the tables were turned, I would feel comfortable with Biden as President. That's how I look at it.

Doesn't matter to me what the candidates personal life is like or their gender or race for that matter. If our belief systems don't match, I'm not voting for them. Plain and simple. And I don't agree with her or McCain so it's not going to happen. I can admire her for being a mom runing for office, but that's as far as it goes.
