Who's Easier to Buy Gifts For: Boys or Girls?

Parents are making their gift lists and checking them twice. Struggling shoppers are looking for advice on what to pick up for the little lad or lass this holiday season. With a plethora of options for deserving boys, the girly gifts are aplenty, too. While Transformers and Barbies will both be spilling out of Santa's bag this year, which gender do you find it easier shopping for: boys or girls?

Naturally, being female I voted for girls. They have a large selection to choose from so your bound to find something. I asked my husband who he thought was easier to shop for, his instant answer "Boys!!". His point being, look at the female section vs males section at stores, we have far more to choose from-BUT! This allows for more mistakes. With boys, most things are basic, and if all else fails, buy him a football. You never see hot pink footballs now, do ya?

I find boys clothes SO much easier. Toys, it's pretty evenly split. For my own kids, none are really difficult to shop for, so I can't vote. But where can I vote on this hideous new red background with the floating ads that freeze my computer?

I don't know about toys yet, but i agree that it really depends on the kid and how well you know their interests... but when it comes to clothing, girls are by far the easier. There is a much much wider selection and unless you are buying the more expensive brands, and I don't think kids need a 35 dollar outfit, sorry, boy clothing is seriously lacking. It's almost all cartoon graphic ts and soft shorts and camo outfits something I find hideous. Even the infant clothing for boys leaves a lot to be desired.

Girls are pulling ahead now, and I have to agree, if we're talking about generic toys. Although, if you really know a kid, it should be equally easy to buy for a boy as a girl.

When I put my vote in, it was a 50/50 split. I guess neither are easier to buy for then. :)
