Which Help Would You Hire?

Mothers may have arms of elastic, but they only have two hands.

And while some ladies like to take care of their families themselves, others prefer to enlist help.

Based on financial restraints or personal preference not everyone decides to hire outside assistance.

So principles and money issues aside, which professional would you want?

Housekeeper. I have a cleaning lady every two weeks, but it's not enough. Even weekly would not be enough. When you have kids the house is always a mess! Crumbs, spills, handprints, dirty clothes and toys everywhere!

Chauffeur for me. We have 4 children in 2 different schools on 3 different schedules (next year it will be 3 different schools, 3 different schedules) and as it is right now I'm in the car every 2 hours dropping off and picking up just from school that's not errands or my gym time or extra curricular stuff or anything. My hubby takes the oldest to school on his way to work then for me it's:8:30 take children to school11:00 pick up youngest from school1:00 pick up oldest from school3:00 pick up middle 2 from schoolIf I had someone else to do the driving I could get more housework done. We live too close to the schools to have bus service but even if we did they wouldn't take the bus. Walking is fine for me but it is a little over 2 miles one way to each of the schools, and that eats up time too, plus with the desert heat it's no fun. We have year round school too so we're in school even during Summer months.I really don't mind doing it, it's just some days I wish I didn't have to.

IT's totally a toss up between housekeeper and chef. I picked housekeeper because if I knew someone else would clean up after I make the meals then I would be more likely to make them. Sometimes I feel like I don't have time to play with the boy because I am too busy cleaning everything (our house is for sale and we have showings like once a day so I have to keep it spotless). My son loves to bake and cook so we could have family fun time making meals.

The Clorox type wipes are awesome for cleaning. I probably wouldn't use baby wipes on all different surfaces. I would think it would leave a residue. I always have a bottle of Clorox wipes in my kitchen and bathroom. It makes cleaning so fast! Otherwise- I wouldn't do it!

schnappycat, I use the Clorox ones. I also keep baby wipes on hand too... they are good for cleaning shirts and stuff when you drop food, etc on them.

Like just regular baby wipes? Or the Clorox wipes specifically designed for that sort of stuff? I'm a bad housekeeper and need all the help I can get!

Housekeeper! I enjoy spending time with my kids and even cooking, but I so do not enjoy cleaning. I as if I'm always behind in my cleaning. Help on a regular basis with bathrooms, kitchen and laundry would be so fabulous!I have to agree with duck duck and designRchic that wipes are the best! I have them in every room, car and bag. They are amazingly useful. I always give wipes to new moms (along with other things). They give me a weird look at the time and thank me a few months later.

i would hire a housekeeper, a chef, AND a chauffeur. I wouldn't need a nanny because I'd have time for the little ones and no need for the personal assistant since i'd have so much free time.

Tough call between housekeeper and chef. I used to love cooking and now I dread it – takes so much time and effort. I'm going with the chef.

housekeeper!!!! I HATE cleaning!!! And it would give me more time on weekends to spend with my kids. If we are successful at this IVF coming up and have twins...I WILL BE hiring a housecleaner to come twice a month for a thorough cleaning!!

I would MUCH rather have a housekeeper. I am very OCD about the house being clean and I have 5 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms, 2 kids and a BF that may as well be 2 yrs old when it comes to mess, so I'm constantly cleaning. I think it's the one thing that takes me away from more family time. I would be SO thrilled if I had a housekeeper, it would make a world of a difference.

Definitely a housekeeper! I work full time and my house suffers because of it. By no means is it a pig sty, but when people come over and it is not picked up - my excuse is that - "I love my littel girl too much to waste my free time straightening up every five minutes!"

I would definitely hire a chauffeur. We have five kids that constantly need rides to work, practice, class etc. I would love to have someone to help with the driving. Duck duck goose - I love the wipes! Those and the toilet cleaner thingies that you flush after you use them are awesome.
