Stella McCartney grew up as rock royalty, attending British comprehensive schools — state schools that select students based on geography, rather than academic scores. Despite that upbringing, the designer sends her three oldest children — Miller, 7, Bailey, 6, and Beckett, 4 — to private schools, though she isn't necessarily set on it. McCartney once said, "It's one of my biggest internal struggles — the whole schooling system in London and the fact that my kids are going to a posh school. It freaks me out . . . If at any stage it looks like they're becoming total jerks and saying 'hello mummy' in posh voices, instead of running in and just being their awful selves, then you have to knock it on the head."
