Walk This Way! Did Your Wee One Skip Crawling?

Some babies scoot and others pull themselves along, but not all children crawl before they walk. Mothers fret over their kiddos missing a milestone and put their tots down on all fours hoping the youngsters will spring into action. There are lil ones who prefer cruising and those who just want to tear off. What did your baby do?

My baby girl is quite the crawler at seven months. She started during her six month. I don't think walking is too far off, either. Such an exciting time, albeit filled with new dangers!

All of my kids crawled before walking.

Oh man, I prefer that my kids crawl before walking. That gives me some time to see what they are interested in so I can baby proof accordingly. My son started crawling at 8 months and started walking at 12 months so we had a nice grace period there.

She just started crawling at a little over 10 months...we got a lazy one on our hands ;) She's trying to get on her feet right now. I skipped crawling all together and was walking by 10 months.

Yup, my daughter crawled after she started walking, but she HATED to be on her stomach. My son, however, has been army crawling since 2 months, and was crawling on hands and knees a few days after he hit 4 months. His ped looked at me like i was crazy when i told her, but its true... he's all over the place already.

More like an army crawl ... he never went hand and knees ... only belly and elbows.

Great timing LilSugar! My lil one is well on his way to skipping crawling completely. At almost 10 months old, he has taken his first steps and has shown zero interest in going anywhere on his knees!
