How Did You Know He Was the Father of Your Children?

Every one's falling in love over on TresSugar lately! That happened to lots of Lil readers a while ago, but I'm curious about the moment that you knew your guy would be the father of your children. Did you see him running around with your nephew? Is he just a big kid? Or, did he have a secret list of baby names? I was 16 and clueless when I met my husband (also 16 and clueless) at a party and mumbled to my friends that he was the one. Ten years later, I gave birth to our baby girl. Crazy things happen. What's your story?

I know he is going to be because I married him lol! But before marrying him it's when I started dating him that I knew. He's a very sweet and soft guy with a tough exterior and just how he is with his little niece and baby sister, even though they are lil brats sometimes! We share the same values and views about education. I know he's going to be a wonderful father when we are ready to have kids.

I knew the day I met him, 20 years ago, in college. We've been married 15 years and have 5 kids! Whew!:-)

I think for me, it was the fact that he was willing to start trying for a baby knowing it could happen right away or take a long time! Because of previous health issues, it was in question as to whether we could or if it would be easy or not. When he told me that he was scared because he didn't know what to do with a baby but trusted that I did and was willing to start trying inspite of maybe not being 100% ready, I knew it was right. We were blessed that it did happen very quickly and although he had never held a baby until ours was born, he's a natural!

We didn't plan for the pregnancy...but I knew we were gonna be fine because I had seen him interact with his nephew and he just loves that kid.

@Studio16 Your post made me laugh. When my husband and I were dating he said something similar to what your ex said and that is when I realized I wanted to marry him.

Hahaha that's funny, runningesq! Anyway, let's just say I knew he *wasn't* going to be the father of my children when he said, "I hate kids and don't want any." That puppy love was squelched real fast.
