What's Your Opinion of Ovulation Widgets?

It's one thing to hear that a couple is "trying" and it's another to be able to pinpoint the exact date! Fifty-one percent of LIlSugar readers said announcements about baby making should be kept in the bedroom so we're curious if you think ovulation widgets on people's social networking pages are inappropriate or acceptable?

I just don't see why anyone would care really - in a negative way. Unless someone is describing the consistancy of their vaginal mucus and what their temp was that morning, how hard is it to see/read it and move on? Why do you feel the need to delegate what other people get to post? People have their own lives and their own issues and things they are dealing with and experiencing. I don't care if someone posts 90 million posts about their kids on facebook, becuase they're proud and/or frustrated with a situtation and looking for help. I don't freak out when someone is uploading 20 million pictures of every single weekend event they go to and every picture shows them drunk out of their minds. They're happy with it and while i think its really freaking moronic, its their life.

I don't get why anyone would post about this on facebook...but I ask myself that about a lot of the stuff people post on there. I would not want to share my divorce battle with 300 of my closest friends, but some people obviously do...I couldn't care less...

I agree, they are appropriate for TTC arenas and that is it.

I have ONLY seen this on TTC boards and I think they are appropriate there --- women sharing the highs and lows of trying to get pregnant. For some women it can be difficult to concieve. On social networking... meh, it's TMI, but it's no worse than anything else people post about.
