What Do Your Kids Leave Out For Santa?

Growing up my siblings and I left carrots for the Easter Bunny and milk and cookies for Santa. It's a tradition I've carried on with my own kids, but in talking to other parents I've heard that the list goes beyond the crumbly, dunk-able treats.

What do your lil ones leave to fill Jolly Ole St. Nick's belly?

We leave out milk and cookies by the fireplace, and a carrot on the front lawn. My parents always used to leave a half-eaten carrot out on the front lawn and made fake reindeer footprints in the snow with a broomhandle-lots of effort, but my sisters and I loved it! And, of course, the half-eaten cookie and half-drunk glass of milk by the fireplace the next morning!

we leave out beer and cookies-LOL!!Our son thinks Santa needs a little something different from us so Santa will be sure to remember him. And he knows Daddy loves beer, so Santa should love it too!

My kids left cookies and eggnog and a letter for Santa. Santa wrote them a small thank you in return and left a piece of cookie on the plate. :)

mrs. claus made a request for a latte, but we stuck with the milk. it was a wonder santa and mrs. c made it to our house without falling asleep at the wheel. :)

and than we also take a bite of the cookie, drink half the mild and leave a little nubbin of the carrot so that they can see that santa and his buddies enjoyed it. They cant eat them all up, they have millions of houses to eat at!

that is my fave x-mas commercial, lickety! I was sad that I didn't see it this year, they tend to play it at least a few times :( now its all about jewelry and no cheese

milk and cookies, a letter explaining any last minute "behaviors" and reindeer food (the school sends this home with the little ones). my kids are in a santa frenzy right now, lol. starbright, remember that tv commercial where the child leaves cheese for santa and gets about 1,000 toys? then the kid says "i didn't leave santa cookies. i left him CHEESE!" maybe he saw that. :) pretty cute.

We leave out milk and cookies for Santa, and carrots and cheese for the reindeer. Don't ask why we leave out cheese, my youngest insists on it. Who knows?
