Wee TV: Must Love Kids

I barely have time to hang out with my husband so I can't imagine how hard it would be to jump back into the dating pool with my two kids in tow. When I was single all I had to worry about was myself — no qualms about my son's shrieking or shelling out for babysitters — so I'm anxious to see TLC's new show Must Love Kids, which premieres tonight. The show will follow three single moms: Kristen, 33, Vanessa, 30, and Tracy, 37, who are looking to find love and romance again.

Would you be hesitant to start dating again?

Nope. If I'm ever single again I'm pretty sure it would be from me being a widow and I wouldn't be able to bear being with anyone else. And god forbid we got divorced I most likely wouldn't want another relationship. I've already been though one divorce and I don't think I would want to get married again.

When I was first single I dated every other weekend when I was without my son. That worked out fine when I was out just having fun. When I wasn't dating I hung out with my boss and did geeky things like play video games all night. That eventually turned into more than video games and it was for sure a challenge as he had never been around kids. We mostly dated on my weekends without my son. Eventually we did some together activities. It was rare that I needed a babysitter as my weekends with my son were my priority. Now if I were to be single again it would most likely be due to a death and I don't think I would date again as I found the one and it's unlikely that I would find another "one".

No. Being in a dating situation would likely mean my husband had passed away, since divorce isn't likely with our religious beliefs. It's not impossible, just highly unlikely. And being a widow, I simply cannot imagine feeling comfortable dating for quite awhile.
