Did You Ever Use the Pregnancy Card to Break Line?

Last weekend, I joined a group of 15 women waiting in line for the restroom. A few of them eyed my tummy and immediately offered a cut in line. I declined and told them I was in no need of such gratuitous efforts, but appreciated their offers.

Maybe in two months time I will use the belly as an excuse to jump ahead, but for now I'm taking my time with the rest of the ladies.

Did you ever use your belly for benefit in restroom lines?

I never asked when I was pregnant, but I kept rubbing my enormous belly hoping someone would offer, but they never did. Oh well I was at least able to hold it.

No, not to cut in line, but I did use it (and breastfeeding) to delay jury duty.

I've seen a friend cut in a bathroom line simply by pushing her tummy out as much as possible and talking about "the baby" and how badly she had to go.

When I'm pregnant and I really need to go (I can hold my pee for awhile - I know it isn't good) I might ask to go ahead real quick. If someone offered and I didn't need to use the bathroom badly I would politely decline.

Caterpillar, she skipped ahead to grab a table, not go to the bathroom? I'd be pissed, especially if the restaurant allowed it.

i wonder if you were at the Ferry Building for Farmer's Market by chance??? That is the one place that i took up someones offer. i had just finished my large decaf coffee and that long was SO long and well i had to go. One woman offered and the person if front of the line heard, she let me go first. I was 8 months prego and HUGE, so i must of looked like i was in need.

I have never been pregnant. BUT my sister in law is 7 months and we went to a mexican restaurant this past weekend, there was a crowd of people waiting to put thier names down to get a table and she says "sorry people Im skipping" and went to the front of the line!!! No One said a thing! I was so embarassed! but strangely proud,.

I wouldn't ask anyone to give up their spot, but if they offered up their spot I would accept.

No but when in crowded areas I wouldn't wait until it was overwhelming either. Also, people pretty much always offered to let me cut in line at places like an Angel game, where there was a long line. I also always offer to let pregnant women cut unless I'm with one of the kids and they really can't wait. My sister used it a few times while pregnant with twins because she pretty much had to. She was very apologetic and would say "I'm really sorry but I have two babies kicking my bladder and I can't wait." No one ever got mad or didn't let her cut.
