Gosselin Affair Confirmed: Do You Feel For Jon or Kate?

It's a sad day for us Gosselin fans who have been pulling for our favorite TLC couple and stars of Jon and Kate Plus 8. US Weekly is reporting that they have confirmed Jon's three-month long affair with 23-year-old Deanna Hummel with five sources close to the relationship including her roommate and brother. The latest issue of the magazine also features a photo spread of the supposed couple hanging out while Kate was away on business. It said:

Jon had Deanna over to sunbathe in his family's front lawn. This was just seven days after they had first been photographed together at Legends Lounge at 2 a.m. in pictures that show he is not wearing his wedding band.

If this is true, our hearts go out to the eight Gosselin children. But in light of everything that has surfaced, do you feel more for Jon or Kate?

If Jon talked down to Kate the way she talks down to him, women would be furious. But no one seems to mind that she verbally berates him all the time. It's about time women realized it's not okay to treat anyone the way Kate treats Jon. I am a mom and wife and I am disgusted by her complete disrespect for her children's father.

I can't say that I have missed an episode. As I have been getting more angry each one lately. Kate treats Jon like a child always barking out orders,yelling like an idiot,hitting him and I believe the worst of all is the way she corrects and makes fun of is use of grammer as well as choice of words. How embarassing she needs to back up and really take a look at herself and see just how she looks when she does this. She treats him like a work horse and hasn't said one positive thing to him like a good job or THANK YOU. even a PLEASE once and a while goes a long way. I hope the kids are alright through this. But don't think they don't notice the way she treats him - kids know. She's milked this long enough. Why has she been looking so good lately? He even has to pick out her cloths like 8 kids and himself aren't enough to dress!!!!!!

If this is all true, i feel sad for the kids.it sucks if in the end they will end up a broken family. Jon should have known better. And to that 3rd grade teacher, SHAME on her! I'm sure she just want to ride the popularity ! yet they're innocent until proven guilty so..the best to Kate and the kids. and as this somebody told me, "who give a F*** about it,its their life and i shud not stick my nose where it dont belong"! LOL!

You think with 8 kids cheating would be the last thing on his mind and in the limelight? I really feel for Kate,she didn't deserve this and hope she has a lot of support right now.

I also wanted to add that I enjoy the show depending on what it's about and all. I have seen Kate a few times treat Jon badly and he's just a gem about it all. I always feel bad when he's trying to talk in the interview's and she doesn't let him or belittles him. Quite sad.

Wow I didn't know the brother had drug issues and a fight with the sister. How is he a reliable source? I would be weary of that. It seems to me the media is taking the word too much of the brother. Especially since he does have reason to say such things which may not be true. As far as the question of Jon and Kate being separated I wonder that too. Sometimes people stay together like that because of the contract. Maybe they already had signed the dotted lines and can't back out of it. One thing I've noticed in the introduction of the show they always say how they're a family etc. but never hear the words "love" in it. I found that kinda odd and interesting. In the video if he's walking to his car and he knows camera's are around and he is having some sort of mystery affair why would he be so easily walking to his car? Wouldn't he be trying to hide and send someone else out? And why doesn't the media talk about this other person who was there? Who is that and what do they have to say?

So because he has a female friend over and wasn't wearing his wedding band that means he's cheating? Wow that's pretty low. I guess I should tell my mother she's cheating. She has male friends and doesn't always wear her wedding ring. Sometimes it gets so hot you don't want to lose it etc. Just because you have a friend of the opposite sex and not wearing a ring and the wife is away doesn't mean anything. Until the public hears from Jon, Kate or the other girl it's all pure speculation.

I'm sorry but I am not willing to believe a story that is 'confirmed' by a 'brother' that has a huge fight with his sister because she kicked him out because of his drug dealing. He probs just needs the money so he can buy more drugs. I feel bad for all of them, the kids, Kate, Jon and the girl. Just leave them be and get your money else where. There are kids involved here.

I'm not sure who / what I believe, but I feel sorry for the entire family, mostly the children. It's odd, I never would have predicted anything this drastic would happen but watching the last season I was truly shocked at how much time Kate was spending away from the family, promoting her books, etc. Every episode it seemed like she just got back, was in another city, ready to leave again, etc. I think it's fine and great to write a book but do you have to travel around the country to promote it when you have 8 young children at home? I was really surprised by it from watching and wondered a few times if this would affect their relationship. Of course there's got to be more to it than just that.

I was watching an episode, embarassing and favorite moments, and Kate's behavior shocked me. she absolutely refused to admit any fault when Jon pointed out incidents where she screamed at her. Everything was pushed to being "Jon's fault". The tension between them was palpable. How can anyone be so insensitive? That said, Jon is also stupid for hanging out with a 23 year old woman at 2am in the morning

As many have said, I feel most for the kids. My suspicion is that Jon and Kate have some "special arrangement". He wants out of the marriage, she doesn't want to get off the money train. It was clear he wanted out of the show. I don't know if he is really cheating, but I do think it's possible they are merely "staying together" to do another season and not kill off the Gosselin book/show empire just yet.

i feel for all of them, US weekly is tearing a family apart, just so they can make a buck. its so sad. US weekly isn't the most creditable magazine. and obviously these people are going to come forward with stories, true or not, just so they can get their 15 minutes of fame. disgusting.

Like I've said before, I'll believe it when I see it in People. I really like their show (I agree she treats him with disrespect) and I just can't (or don't want to) believe it. I guess I just really hope they figure everything out. It's just so sad to hear about the ending of a marriage.

whats the point of staying together....look at how kate`s treating him...if i were in jon`s place.....i would do the same...jon`s type is just every women would dream to have..but the way kate`s treat him is just too much....i guess his just tired of kate bad attitude...lets see which man can stand her...i feel sorry for you jon....you really really deserve someone better...someone who respect you...not yelling at you....

I just hope they realize that they need to get out of the business and raise the children normally. Unfortunately, they probably can't support the family without the entertainment industry. Kate can be quite hateful and while I also understand that Jon probably felt like he could never leave her, there is never an excuse for having an affair. Although, this is US Weekly, I don't necassarly take everything they print to be true.

I no longer watch. It really bothered me to see how Kate treated Jon. She appears to be all about the money. If I were a man I could not live with her, I would never had dated her in the first place. It is sad for the kids, but from the looks of it they will be needing counseling soon regardless of their father's cheating. Kate is just and out and out nasty person.

Having eight kids is absolutely no excuse for treating people like crap. Wanna know how I know this? I am from a family of eight and my mother NEVER would have done any of the crap Kate does. That's not to say that my mom isn't a strong-willed person---she absolutely is---she just learned early on that it's easier to attract flies with honey and not vinegar. Kate isn't so special. A lot of the so-called skills Kate is lauded for on a regular basis---organization, nutrition, thriftiness, etc.--- go part and parcel with having a big family, and anyone who's actually been there could tell you that. No one should get a pass on bad behavior because they pushed out eight kids. I know what they've been through isn't easy (my own sainted mother about passed out when I told her about this show---and the six kids in one go.), but you have an opportunity on a daily basis to rise above the petty frustrations associated with raising a family. Kate refuses to rise above it, and from what I can tell, Jon gets the brunt of it. The woman is verbally abusive, and until it was pointed out to her that her constant slapping and hitting looked bad, she was physically abusive as well. If a man pulled some of the stunts she does, he'd be universally condemned. But because she's a woman, and a mother of eight she gets a pass? I don't think so. I think cheating is vile. But there's always the exception that proves the rule---and I think it's understandable why Jon would go looking elsewhere for comfort.

Yeah, Chou, I wonder if Kate and Jon has already in 'separation' mode too. I watched the show a few times, and sure, Kate seemed abrasive and controlling, but I understand how frustrating it is to be handling household (I believe the shows I saw was way before they moved to their 'mansion' and stuff), not everyone can handle things in a quiet, delightful manner at all times... and Jon seemed to be quite passive-aggressive (imho), he's not as 'open' as Kate when it comes to getting mad at someone or something, he seemed always have been pretty preoccupied too (like his mind is somewhere else, but then again, having a crew following you around, must be so uncomfortable too!). I had to just click the link, and I dunno if I can conclude that he's really cheating. The sunbathing pic, I saw the third person there, so it's not like he's just alone with the other woman. As for the video, it just shows him walking to his car LOL. That's all. Hardly a confirmation, imho. But the interview with the 'brother' (is this for sure that it's her brother who said all this thing?) can be quite damaging. Again, I Wish the tabloids handle this differently for the sake of the children, then again, I wonder if this is some sort of a ploy to get people to tune in Season 5 too. Hmmmm. Because didn't this 'ploy' work for Le Ann Rhymes and her co-star Cibrian? People actually watch their Lifetime movie b/c of it (I didn't yet though). Then again, there won't be smoke if there's no fire, right? Hmm. Just food for thought.
