Tell Mommy: What Do Your Kids Always Misplace?

No matter how organized I am when we're headed out the door, my husband, or children are usually missing something. Whether it's a misplaced key, wallet, backpack, permission slip, toy, hair tie, or pair of socks — items, small and large, seem to disappear into thin air in our flat. Usually, they are uncovered in a matter of minutes or months. But, I can almost always guess what's been lost. For my daughter, it's her toothbrush and with my son, it's a shoe. If time allots, we turn the place upside down, if it doesn't we table the search party for a more convenient time. Does this happen to you?

My son is always misplacing my cell phone and of course he always does it when it is turned to silent. It is so annoying!! But he loves it too much to take away from him.

Everything. They get it from me. We finally made a rule of all shoes going next to the door before bed because we were always running late in the morning, looking for shoes.

lol, yes. last week there was a day when we could find 4 white tennis shoes for my 7 years old, all from different pairs. finally she wore a pair of her sisters because we couldn't find a match. somehow 2 of them ended up in my husbands car, so i think maybe she wore a mismatched pair one day (??) the other 2 never did show up. this is a long time pattern so i try and have shoes by the front door the night before a school day, when we were searching i remember thinking "why didn't i do that last night!!!".

I don't have a kid yet, but my SO loses stuff all the time and I have to find it. Does that count ;) He usually loses keys, shoes, and headphones. I find them. lol

My daughter is always losing puzzle pieces. My mom bought her a bunch of the like 6-piece puzzles, and when my MIL watches her, when she cleans up, she just throws all the pieces in my daughter's toy box. It drives me up a freakin wall. Oh, and she is always losing the lids to her sippy cups (because my MIL lets her play with them).
