Teething Bites

My son was an absolute angel when he was all gums, but then his first tooth cut though and he let out a primal scream that would put any animal on National Geographic to shame. The glass shattering, mind numbing shriek made us realize how painful getting teeth is for him.

Here are a few remedies that brought his mouth (and our ears!) a bit of relief.

We love the Hyland's tablets and are actually using them again for the 2 year molars that are refusing to come in!

My mother rubbed bourbon onto my gums when I was a baby. I'm sure that's considered child abuse now though. :D

my niece was surprisingly good during the teething process. that's because she was busy crying about other things.... getting food when she's wants it.:)

A few drops of Rescue Remedy worked wonder for my son when he started cutting teeth like a maniac. A few drops in water or directly under the tongue. Magic! Hylands did nothing for him.

Watch those teething biscuits... they're awesome and work well, not to mention they don't have junk in them at all, but when they get soggy they can break off and baby can choke... just make sure you're supervising!
