It would be REALLY great to see some baby proofing/room ideas that aren't going to cost a grand or more to duplicate. If any of you haven't noticed the economy is crap and kids are already expensive. Apologies, all of these ideas are great, but for some of us working on a "find it and refurb." or "less than Ikea" budget this is daunting ad depressing.

The modern baby gate, while gorgeous, is not installed correctly. It is too high off the floor, causing an entrapment hazard. The gate should be flush with the floor.
