Stroller Cleaning Services: Ga Ga or Gag?

Baby needs a bath, and we're not talking about your lil one! A tot's stroller can be compared to mama's car. They eat in it, sleep in it, sweat in it, and more, but unlike mom's vehicle, it doesn't usually make a trip to the car wash for a polish and shine.

With the price of luxury strollers crossing the $1,000 mark, parents need their childrens' mode of transportation to last, but don't have the time, or wherewithal, to keep the carriages shining like new. With that in mind, companies like Clean Bee Baby and Buggy Bubbles have popped up across the country, offering pushchair cleaning services that not only cleanse the upholstery, but the strollers' chassis, wheels, and more. The services – ranging from $40-$100 – aren't endorsed by major stroller companies, but claim to keep the chairs working longer. Would you seek such a service out for your stroller?

@ Rebecca, Jamie, Founder of Buggy Bubbles Here - I hope that it is OK to post. I have a full shop now, but the first 3 years I actually operated out of my tiny, Pac Heights apartment. I probably wouldn't recommend this route to anyone else (my poor kids were barred from the bathtub), but I kept doing it because I know that someday it would grow to something that I could be proud of. @ The very kind supporters of my business, thank you so much. I have to say - I live in apartment and don't have the benefit of an outdoor hose. I would love to see how clean one of these services could get my 5-year old stroller chasis!

I think that the Buggy Bubbles service is a great idea. I love the idea that older strollers which have been stored in garages and are covered in goodness know what can be cleaned up and used again. So much better (and cost-effective!) than buying new all the time.

Honestly with everything else I do it's nice to have some help with things like this. I have also used Buggy Bubbles when I was reselling my Bugaboo and I got almost full value out of it with a minor investment. TOTALLY worth it!

I have used buggy bubbles before and LOVE it! I liked supporting a mom/family business and felt like since my second born was getting hand me down everything, at least we could spruce up the stroller for him. I think a Buggy Bubbles stroller cleaning is a great gift for a second (or more) baby where the parents might have everything else they need. My stroller seriously came back looking like new.

I cared for another child in a share care situation and purchased a double stroller on the cheap from craigslist. It was 4yo and in decent condition but definitely needed some TLC! One can only imagine what was on this stroller and it had most likely been sitting in a musty garage collecting dust, mold and rust. I did not have time or the capabilities to adequately clean the stroller but still needed to be budget conscious so I contacted Buggy Bubbles for some help. The owner Jamie told me she would do what she could w/in my budget. She met me curbside for drop off so I didn't have to haul two toddlers out of the car and in just a few days returned a sparkling clean stroller looking almost brand new. After all was said and done I spent much less money than I would have buying new!

My daughter just threw up all over the back seat of my car covering two car seats! I've got three kids. I don't have time to thoroughly clean my car seats. If I take the car to a car wash, they won't re-install the car seats correctly and if they don't remove them, they can't get them clean! I really need a service like this!
