The early bird gets the worm, and Little says this applies to photography too. She says:
Make the effort to rise early and take advantage of the beautiful morning light. Prepare the day before by selecting a location and clothes for the kids to create a stress free shoot. Avoid harsh shadows on those sweet faces by taking advantage of the soft warm sun low on the horizon. The sun will twinkle through the grass and brush working hard to give you a lovely bokeh, which describes a blurry background or foreground.
