Spilling on the Belly

Babysugar Diaries: Adult Bibs Needed

Updated 06/15/08 9:46 PM · Posted by babysugar · 8 comments

I am literally rounding the end of my third month of pregnancy with a fuller belly and more buxom bust. The bump has come on faster the second time around, which was not as surprising as it was alarming. At the rate I'm going, I anticipate looking like a beached whale by week 20. Whatever toll this pregnancy takes on my body, I am prepared and willing to take it on as the outcome is worth every pound, stretch mark and age spot.

First item to take a hit — my wardrobe. Maybe the shrinky dink effect helped me stay clean for the last year, but along with the growing chest and tummy have come unwelcome stains and spills. Just today I ate a sandwich and later discovered a piece of lettuce dangling from my silk shirt. Maybe I should be the one sporting the full body Bumkins bib at mealtime. Either that or OxiClean and I will become the best of friends in the coming months.

Yes! I have the same problem. Not even bump/chest induced I don't think. It is just general pregnancy clumsiness. I need the bib just as much as my 2 year old and more than my 4 year old. Embarrassing--esp. when eating in public.

I quite frequently spit on my own stomach while brushing my teeth. :( I'm 37 weeks tomorrow.

I've been using Tide-to-go. Has anyone used both? If so, which one do you think is better?

:rotfl: During both my pregnancies I always noticed I had stains on my shirts 50% of the time, usually right over my belly button area.
