I would be willing to have my next child born at home with a midwife or doula.My first son was born in a water tub at a hospital with no interference whatsoever from doctors.My second son was free birth. He was born in the car on the way to the hospital

Even though I had a very uneventful labor and delivery with my daughter I still would not ever consider giving birth anywhere other than a hospital...

i totally agree with you girls. all of my future children will be delivered in a hospital... no questions asked! :)

I agree with you ladies. My son wasn't breathing when he was first born and I was so relieved I was at a hospital. It was a few second scare, but seemed like eternity. I can't imagine delivering my own child.

Wow, blue, that's scary....Husby and I are hopeing to get preggers next year, and I will deliver in a hospital. If something goes wrong I want quick access to med eqip./ doctors

blue - that's what would worry me! We had some issues with the birth of my daughter and I can't even fathom what would have happened were we not in a hospital.

I hear the freebirthing is on the rise and going to the extent to where they won't even involve a Dr for the whole pregnancy. I have heard of 2 newborn deaths and one death of a mother just where I live.
