Sex and the City: A Room For Lily

Babysugar and I were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the Sex and the City movie last week, but while everyone oogled the fab four — Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, I had my eye on the new girl in town — Lily. The four-year-old adopted daughter of Charlotte York and Harry Goldenblatt was quite the scene stealer. And, production designer Jeremy Conway put great thought into designing the lil lady's pink lair. Our girl, Casa had a chance to ask him what inspired his creation. He said:

With Lily it's the kind of scene in her apartment where Charlotte wants Lily to feel we're all the same all over the world.

What girl wouldn't love her multicultural dolls, chandelier and polka dot wing chair? But, it was the hot pink wallpaper with hand drawn Chinese lanterns that caught my eye.

Has anyone any idea where you can buy the polka dot chair from? I don't think it was made especially for Lily's room as the same one was used in a Victoria's Secret Fashion show a few years back.

I agree, I'm adopted - From Vietnam and my family never says this is our adopted daughter they just say daughter. Also Charlotte York is her maiden name her married name is York-Goldenblatt.

How come this site always refers to Lily as the "adopted daughter" of Charlotte? Why can't you guys just refer to her as the "daughter" of Charlotte? I myself am a journalist and would not have used such insensitive phrasing.

After many hours of searching, I finally found the wallpaper! It's made by Harlequin (#70822 "Tropical Heaven") and is available at walnutwallpaper.com in US as well as from a UK website wallpaperdirect.co.uk (it seems the UK site is MUCH less expensive and they ship to US(about $30/roll compared to $125 per roll).
