There's setting the story straight and then there's running one's mouth. Jon Gosselin sat down with Chris Cuomo for a three-hour tell-all, which was condensed into a half hour segment on Primetime: Family Secrets that aired earlier tonight. During their exchange, the father made famous by his family's show, Jon and Kate Plus 8, shed some tears and made statements (including those about his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kate) that raised the eyebrows of loyal viewers. Which did you find most shocking?

jon was verbally mistreated by kate - we all saw it on the show; HOWEVER, his recent comments about the mother of his children are tacky, innappropriate, and just plan stupid. if he wants people to sympathize with him for how kate treated him all these years, then he needs to grow up and clean up his behavior.

So sad - I loved them. He is SUCH a jerk. I am team Kate all the way. I recognized early on that she was just trying her best to stay organized and raise 8 kids, and he was no help. He was always making little comments about how it was too much for him - well he's gone off the deep end, drinking, smoking, sleeping around and very publicly bashing Kate. What an idiot. Go be a father to your kids!

Does he not understand that ANYTHING he says will be read by his children one day? Every single one of those statements is something that can really hurt the children he says he is keeping "first and foremost." This guy is such a tool....

Very soon his children are going to read that mommy hurt daddy and daddy despises mommy, because Daddy can't help, but try and "win". Those kids know or will eventually be privy to what he says about their mother and his girlfriends. Kate seems to be delivery her interviews with a little more diplomacy. But really, do we really need to know? I mean, will it really effect our lives if we don't find out who took who's ring, who loved who first, or who said the meanest things..

But seriously, he said that she "wouldn't let him go out" - Yeah, if I had EIGHT KIDS at home, and my husband was whining about not being able to go out with the guys, I'd probably give him hell, too. Kate hasn't been very nice to him, it's true, but what I saw was her trying to run this machine that she decided needed to be ultra organized in order to function, and he was not pulling his weight. Their kids would be a disaster if it wasn't for her keeping order in that family. He was just not up to the challenge. He is blowing all this money, that Kate is trying to keep for her kids' futures, on cars, and clothes, and girls, and I think it's just pathetic. I'm totally team Kate.

kate is the mother of his children, his wife of ten years and hailey is a young girl he's been dating for about 5 minutes...who is only using him for fame hands down, the comment about loving hailey more is ludacris even couples who split up and disagree (and who might accuse one another of things like abuse afterwards) can at least recognize the love that used to live between them...that's an immature comment and very hurtful to his family

Kate may have not treated him the best on the show but does this make Jon a better man or father to go bashing the mother of his 8 children and go on and on how in love he is with his 20 something girlfriend when the divorce papers aren't even signed yet. He seemed like a bitter jerk who can't take responsibility for his own actions. P.S. The most shocking statement was him saying something about this may jeopardize custody or cause him to loose his kids...then why not stop already.

Niami, we all agree (okay most of us do, myself included) that Kate was a raging bitch to Jon but now we're getting sick of him on ever other magazine cover (Kate's usually on the other ones) whining about how she treated him. We get it Jon she was mean and scary and you felt stiffled so now you're flexing your freedom, but for the love of all things holy stfu (please)

She was abusive, it was pretty obvious by the way she talked to him on the few shows I watched. I certainly wouldn't want to be near/married to that psycho. Public reaction would have been different if he was the abuser, now wouldn't it?

Jon Gosselin is such a p#@@y! He is such a wuss! You make me want to puke watching such a wuss try to say he's a man. He's a wuss, the worst kind of man. Jon should eat a round and give humanity a break from his belly-aching, wussy behavior.
