When it comes to odd methods of discipline, Rosario Dawson's mother, Celeste, certainly had some ideas. The actress recently told The New York Times how her mom doled out punishment for misbehavior. She said:
“My mom licked me - that was her punishment. If I was a little uppity or if I didn’t listen or if she wanted to get my attention, she’d lick the side of my face or under my armpit. My mom’s a six-foot-tall amazon and she’d say, ‘You came out of my vagina and I own every part of you,’ and she’d lick me like I was her wee pup and she was a lioness. It was humiliating and really intense. Very primal. It’s not spanking, but it definitely works.
Do you find this method of child rearing odd or inventive?

1I heard a radio interview where she mentioned this and while I thought it was hilarious and weird I definitely think its better than beating your kids, besides most kids hate being humiliated so it would be easy to keep them in check unless they wanted to have slobber on their faces LOL.

I'm with skigurl - I would think it would be more a punishment for a parent to lick their kid's armpit. Yikes!
7That is definitely something I have never heard of. I mean, it's obviously better than hitting your child...it's still a little strange though! I don't think I would consider spanking or licking my child for punishment...haha!

9I find utterly hilarious. She would need therapy if she was beating the sh*t out of Rosario or leaving her outside in the cold. I wouldn't do it but it's still hilarious.
