Wow nice one lickety split. Our baby-sitters are family my MIL and my Aunt so of course they talk about us, but it's probably deathly boring. lol

i have never felt that we were interesting enough to talk about. we had a nanny (never called them that) because our oldest was severely autistic. nanny #1 said to nanny #2 "i don't know why she (meaning me) can't get over the fact that one of her kids has autism and just accept it and get over it. shit happens". so a few years go by and nanny #2 told me that nanny #1 had been so depressed that she couldn't get out of bed because she had been diagnoised with precancerous cells in her cervix. (let me just say that i had also had this when i was pregnant with my 2nd and drove myself, with my #1 child to the dr's office for the cone biopsy so i know what this is). to which i responded "wow, so that whole get over it, shit happens bit JUST applies to autism" and reminded her what the other nanny had said. well nanny #1 called me to tell me she thought that was disrespectful! lol, i said "really? try this on then" and hung up on her. nanny's may seem like part of the family at the time, but at the end of the day they are employees, and will go to the highest bidder and talk about you just as any other employee talks about their boss.

I expect her to not air my details to other parents, but I don't expect her to not talk about me at all. I fully expect her to gossip with the her helpers about all of us, or to share anything with her husband. I don't even care if she shares details as long as she doesn't name names. I don't want to be picking up my child one day and have another parent greet me with "Oh so YOU'RE the one who breastfed until your kids were three."

Sometimes I feed bad for these celebrities because they can't really trust anyone. You always hear about their former employees spreading dirt because people will pay them for it. It makes me glad I can't afford, and have no need for, employees!

No...I'm sure she talks about us to other nannies as she tells us what's happening with other nannies houses. I know when other parents are on holiday, who are married, who's lost a job etc. so I'm sure she's telling others our business, not that our business is very exciting.
