Review of Eco-Friendly Nursery Cleansers

The big kahuna in our sampling of eco-friendly cleansers, Seventh Generation's Multi Surface Disinfectant ($4) claims to kill 99.9 percent of all household germs.


How well did it work? Quickly and effectively. One simple spray resulted in the swift removal of dried butternut squash and caked on carrots.


How did it smell? The least pleasant smelling of the group, the solution had a strong disinfectant smell that lingered long after the bottle was put away.


How clean did everything feel afterward? Very clean! Perhaps because I could still smell the cleanser, I felt like things were clean for a while after I was through.
