Reusing Paper Towel Rolls
Lil Tip: Recycling Using Your Eyes
Stretching a dollar is one of my talents. Recently, I took my daughter to the beach to watch an armada of ships enter the bay underneath the Golden Gate Bridge. Unlike me, many of the spectators around us had binoculars.
In an effort to make my tot feel more into the action, I took the last paper towel off the roll in my car and carefully tore the roll in half. Using a ribbon from her diaper bag, I tied the two together to craft a pair of seeing spectacles for my wee one. Clearly, the view was no better but she enjoyed the novelty of them and I didn't mind when they were thrashed around in the sand and salt water.
