'Tis the season to be hunting for pumpkins. Families all over the country are flocking to the fields of festive orange gourds to pick out the perfect pumpkin. While you may see imperfections in size, discoloration or what have you, chances are your wee one will finger the one that fits the family.
Pumpkin patches offer a ripe opportunity for holiday card photo ops. Not to mention, you'll get the goods to make yummy pumpkin pie, roasted seeds, and of course, spooky jack-o-lanterns.

I have never been before, but we are making it a family outing in a couple of weekends with mu Hubby, 8-month old, Harrison, and my in laws. It should be fun with a hayride and a petting zoo.
1we used to go every year in indiana....have to find one here in oregon!
2Every year we go to an orchard to pick apples and pumpkins. They also have a corn maze and children's farm. We have such a nice time and I wouldn't want to miss it.
3This was the first year we took our daughter. She just turned one and loved it. We even found some little pumpkins she could pick up. At the place we went they had animals, a corn maze, a straw bale maze for the kids, and a corn box(a sand box with feed corn instead of sand) it was so much fun!!
4Sometimes, but they're like 5 times more expensive than buying pumpkins in the store and we're on a much tighter budget this year.
5I tired to go this past weekend, but it was crappy and rained. And it's not open again. I'm totally bummed. I wanted some cute pictures of the baby. Now I'll have to set up the pumpkins in my yard and pretend or something.
6we went yesterday (see pix). it was great and the pumpkins were surprisingly inexpensive. it was $15 for 2 small and 1 huge pumpkin, much less than in past years, no idea why.
7We're taking Milo on Saturday for his first trip to a pumpkin patch. I'm so excited. I'm sure he'll try and climb on all of them since that's his new favorite thing to do, climb on everything.
