Babysugar Diaries: Feeling the Difference Already

Every pregnancy is different. So far, I have been blessed to have two worry-free childbearing experiences. Both times, I escaped the dreaded morning sickness yet still suffered through the exhausting first trimester. Until last week, my pregnancies were similar.

I started to feel the baby move at about the same time as I did with my daughter. Only this time, the jolts are much stronger and coming more often. Not knowing the gender, I am convinced that this tiny babe growing inside of me is a boy. It has been my gut feeling all along, but the acrobats seem to be confirmation of my beliefs.

What were the differences in your pregnancies?

I figured she meant the activity meant boy because it was so different from her daughter, not because it was a stereotypical boy thing. I did a lot of that with my second, thinking it might be a girl because something was different from my first pregnancy. My daughter by far moved the most, though. When I was in L&D for contractions and a high heart rate at 38 weeks, the nurses said they'd never heard a baby move that much that late. We kept losing the heartrate because she'd move from top to bottom or side to side. She's still in constant motion unless she's asleep.

My daughter moved a lot more than my son. And she is pretty wiggly even outside of the womb, so don't take the stronger kicks to mean it's a boy.

Had the same hmm thought as runningesq!So far mine have been exactly the same apart from my emotions - quite happy in the first and cried much less than pre-pregnancy. Not once, in fact, during the whole pregnancy, even though I used to be a big crybaby befor eit. This pregnancy, depressed as heck throughout, and crying at anything. Crying MORE than pre-either pregnancy, which was a tough target.The scan couldn't see the sex, but scanner lady said it looked slightly more likely to be a girl - I already have a girl.

All three of my pregnancies differed a lot. I was sick about the same amount of time with the boys (14 weeks) but the sensation was totally different. I had GD with the first but not the other two, but I had preterm labor requiring round-the-clock meds with the second, whereas the third I went to exactly 40 weeks, which was my scheduled c-section. With my daughter, I was sick until well after 20 weeks, and even then I didn't feel good, just better.I felt movement at 12 weeks with the first, 9 with the second, and not until like 14 with the third because she was placed totally differently.

Gosh, this pregnancy is a killer :-\ With my daughter I had really bad morning sickness but that was the worst of it...this time around I have like every single pregnancy symptom imaginable x100 :( I am so sick, exhausted, moody, etc. I even got a prescription for Zofran for the morning sickness but I still feel about 60% on a good day. We are hoping for a boy since we have a beautiful princess already but I think it might be another girl - which is fine by me :)

I felt the kicks sooner with baby 2...I guess because I knew what I was looking for. My first was a girl and her kicks were actually stronger, if memory serves me right. This baby is a boy. Otherwise, my pregnancies have been very similar and luckily very easy. I never went into labor with my daughter, so I'm really hoping that changes with this pregnancy. Don't want another c-section.

so far mine have been pretty much different. I was very sick last time with my daughter the whole pregnancy. I have yet to be sick this year but very tired all the time. The kicking same at the same time and feels the same. Durning the 8th month of my pregnancy my daughter kicked and cracked a rib so hopefully we dont get the same this time. I am kind of wishing it is a girl because I have tons of girly girl stuff from my daughter. This wont be our last so I would love to have another girl and a boy later on but I think my gut is saying boy. We will see next week.
