Planning a Baseball-Themed Baby Shower

Hey batter, batter, swiiiing, batter! Who says a baby shower must be filled with pastels and frills. When Annika Lawrence learned her sister-in-law was expecting a baby boy, the graphic designer and Cakes Likes a Party blogger knew exactly how to plan the party. Using the daddy-to-be's childhood love of baseball as a theme, she and her mother created backyard ballpark barbecue to fete the pregnant couple. Complete with AstroTurf table cloths, a batting helmet sundae bar, and a seventh-inning stretch before dessert, the shower was a fun change of pace from traditional baby themes.
