Do You Get Upset When People Confuse Your Kids?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie probably don't care if the public confuses their children. Since there's an incredible resemblance between their three youngest kiddos — Shiloh, 3, and twins, Knox and Vivienne,1, it's understandable that people might mistake one for another. But, when it comes to your children — especially if they are multiples — are you bugged by friends and family members calling one by another's name?

If you go back and look at the photos of the whole family, including both twins, you can see that this child clearly fits the size and look of Knox and is far too small to be Shiloh. And yeah, that has nothing to do with the specific question, but by linking to the other story, it invites people to discuss that as well.

comment #6...what is the point of that? The question is whether you get upset when someone confuses your OWN children...not "why it's okay to confuse the Jolie-Pitt kids" yeesh... No it doesn't upset me because it happens and I don't think anyone does it on purpose. My son was kind of pretty as a little baby so he got a lot of "oh she's so beautiful" comments. As for confusing him and his sister, who hasn't srewed up a name or two in their lifetime? Heck, I've yelled out the dog's name when I meant to say my son's name! Oops!

It's just an honest mistake. Think about it. Have you ever seen a baby in a car seat and wondered whether you were looking at a little boy or a little girl? Have you ever slipped up and called a friend the wrong name? I'm a twin. I spent most of my formative years being called "Robin" or "Which one are you?" It's no big deal.

the same thing happens to my son all the time too,it doesn't matter that he's dressed in boy's clothes,there is always someone who will tell me how beautiful she is...

if they made a quick "hey ali, i mean jenna" that's fine - parents do the same thing...but to just be all "hi ali" and not realize you totally have the wrong kid, i'd be mad...if they were identical twins, perhaps i could understand it, but i would expect family and close friends to pay a little more attention

Only thing that annoyed me was when I had my little girl dressed in pink head to toe and someone would say awww HE'S so cute.

I don't have much of an issue with people accidentally calling them by the wrong name occasionally. It's if it's done on purpose or when they spell the name wrong all the time that I get very annoyed! It's mostly my MIL and FIL that I have the problem with. They almost always spell my 3 kids names wrong and they're 7, 4 and 14mo old now. They do not have crazy names or anything either that should make it difficult. It's their grandkids so I would think they'd make more of an effort to get it right!

No. It's not like I call them the right name 100% of the time either. Sometimes it involves going through all their names, including the dogs' names, before I finally spit out the right one. And I still say there's no way in hell that's Shiloh.
