If you're a fan of Parenthood, Revolution, Chicago Fire, Grimm, and/or Law & Order: SVU, then today's your lucky day — NBC has just renewed all of those shows for new seasons! Returning series Grimm and SVU were pretty much a lock, but Parenthood has always been a bubble show, so I'm particularly excited to see the Braverman crew return for a fifth season. Monica Potter and Peter Krause got into beach gear to film Parenthood in Maui on Tuesday. Peter went shirtless for the sandy day of filming, while Monica covered up in a black swimsuit. The costars are on location for the series, which is currently in its fourth season and is exploring a variety of story lines, including Monica's character Kristina Braverman's battle with cancer and her onscreen sister-in-law's love life. Parenthood was one of your favorite family-themed TV show's of 2012, though it wasn't up for any awards at Sunday's Golden Globes. It may, however, be recognized at the NAACP Image Awards on Feb. 1, as Joy Bryant is up for best supporting actress in a drama.

Even the busiest of parents are entitled to indulge in a few hours of quality TV time at the end of a long day.

Even the busiest of parents are entitled to indulge in a few hours of quality TV time at the end of a long day. If you're anything like us, then you find something especially relatable about a family sitcom that approaches the same issues and challenges that we encounter in our own days.

This year saw no shortage of diversity in family programming — we caught up with the Pritchetts and the Dunphys on Modern Family and continued to become engrossed in the ongoing family drama of Parenthood's extended Braverman clan. Up All Night's Reagan and Chris kept us laughing for a second season, and newcomers Guys With Kids and The New Normal took their own unique approaches to family life.

Thanksgiving is here, which means we're all gearing up to watch the parade and chow down on turkey with loved ones. Though no one can replace our nearest and dearest, I always think it's fun to imagine what it would be like to spend the holiday with some of our favorite TV characters. Whether these shows have a family or a group of friends so close they're like family, these are the groups that I wouldn't mind visiting for the holidays.

Parenthood's Mae Whitman Films a Sexy PDA Scene in Her Underwear

Mae Whitman and Matt Lauria filmed a racy scene for Parenthood on the beach in LA yesterday.

Mae Whitman and Matt Lauria filmed a racy scene for Parenthood on the beach in LA yesterday. The duo splashed around in the waves and showed PDA in their underwear for the cameras, confirming that their onscreen relationship becomes romantic after they met on last week's episode. Parenthood fans will have to wait until next Tuesday for a new episode, but they can see Mae on the big screen now in The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Matt might be heading to theaters, too, if the Friday Night Lights movie becomes a reality, since he played Luke Cafferty on the hit TV series. The show's leading lady Connie Britton, meanwhile, has moved on with new small-screen success on Nashville, which has been getting great reviews since its premiere last week.

Parenthood returns to NBC tonight, but until then, check out the premiere's pictures!

Good news for Parenthood fans who have been anxiously awaiting news on the bubble show: it's been picked up for a fourth season!

Good news for Parenthood fans who have been anxiously awaiting news on the bubble show: it's been picked up for a fourth season! NBC has also given the green light to a seventh season of 30 Rock — but it will be the last. The season will also be shortened, giving the show 13 episodes to wrap things up. I'm happy about this news across the board: I've been pulling for Parenthood since the beginning, and it feels time for 30 Rock to be put to bed. How do you feel about this news?
