Bath time can be rather tricky. First you have to get a usually fussy or eager babe into the water. Then, it's time to lather them up without them slipping through your fingers. Frustrated by the process, one mom has created a terry-cloth glove that provides the bath-giver with extra traction when handling a wet baby. The fingerless Palm Palms Baby Bath Grips ($10) allows you to test the water with your bare fingers while the terry serves as a towel that helps you maintain a firm grip on the child.

I contacted you some time ago now asking if you could provide me with information on the manufacturers of the palm palms baby bath grips. I received an email back saying someone would contact me shortly to provide the information, and I haven't heard back as of yet. The reason I am interested is that I own a child safety company, and think this is an excellent product, but when I go to the palm-palms website, I don't know if I'm at the correct sight, as I cannot find the baby bath grips on it.I would really appreciate it if you could help me out. Babies every year are injured getting out of their bath, be it a kitchen sink or tub, because they are so slippery. My first grandchild was born a week ago and one of my fears is his bath time. If there wasn't something already invented, I would think something up. Wet hands to a wet little body is dangerous! I'm going to order these for my daughter and son-in-law to use. One less worry for a new grandma.

I agree Jessie. I don't really have a use for it, but I don't think it's horrible, evil, bullshit manufacturers just trying to make a buck.

i dunno.... it's just ONE MORE THING to have to get together while getting him nekked & getting him to the sink & getting the washcloth, the BPA FREE bath toy, the organic baby wash and the towel... the faucet out of the way, the dish rack and everything else out of his reach.... i'm not saying it doesnt work, or it isnt a good idea. but for me... ehh he's bigger now, so i don't think it's would be worth it and when he was smaller i had one of those bath slings (that cost about the same $10) that worked perfectly. he looooves his baths tho... he cries when we take him out! (wonder how long it'll be before he battles them)! hahah

I don't see what the big problem with these gloves is. Whats not to like? Even if you think you are the BEST bath giver ever and would NEVER let your child slip and hurt themselves in the bath, a little extra protection against that never hurt anyone. Also, its a mom that thought this up, not some huge faceless company, so you know it works! I'm sure you could also use these gloves as a washcloth to soap up your child as well. I think these are a great idea!

That is bullsh!t. First time mom here, but I always find a way to make sure my daughter doesn't slip, fall into the sink/tub, or hurt herself. Yeah it PROBABLY works.. but realistically!? It's just some random company trying to make extra money.

cute...but like greggie, we always used the kitchen/bathroom sink until the kids were older.

We hop in the bath together and when baby's done, daddy scoops him up into a towel... so this would be useless for us.

I think they're a good idea and probably useful, but I wouldn't use them myself. We don't use the tub, we use the sink, so I don't have the whole "slipping around" problem. And by the time we use the bath, I don't need two hands on them at all times.
