Wow, your article on old fashioned toys are so comprehensive! What fun. Its true that kids like handmade fashioned toys. What nicer than a artificial toys.

My family is trying to locate either an original or accurate remake of a classic wind up caterpillar toy. My 71 year old father received this toy when he was a boy and tells the grandkids (and great grandkids) about it every christmas. He has looked for one to no avail and we would like to surprise him with one next christmas. This toy operates without batteries and has a spring-bound wind up mechanism which makes it crawl along the floor. Any help in locating such a toy or remake would be appreciated.
