5 New Cribs For Modern Babes

Jan 26 2013 - 5:51am

I didn't do much searching around for my first crib, instead picking up a relatively affordable, simple style from a major retailer. Oh, if I had known then what I know now! Today's crib market is full of modern, stylish, sleek, and just-plain-cool options, with new introductions constantly adding to the baby-bed awesomeness. Five new cribs from Oeuf [1], Babyletto, Nurseryworks [2], Dutailier [3], and DaVinci [4] Baby have me rethinking using my old crib for any future children. Who wants boring when you can have a crib that's this extraordinary?! Keep clicking to check them all out!

Oeuf Rhea Crib

Oeuf [5]'s brand-new Rhea crib [6] ($670) comes with birch (shown here) or walnut sides and matte white end panels. Like all of Oeuf's cribs, the Rhea converts to a toddler bed with a conversion kit ($150).

Nurseryworks District Crib

The new Nurseryworks District Crib [7] ($4,900) is a major investment, but you'll literally have it a lifetime. How? The crib, which is made from repurposed white oak from an Alabama train depot, turns into a full-size desk when you remove one panel. It's available now through select stores [8] around the country.

Dutailier Pomelo Crib

We love Dutailier's Pomelo Crib [9] not only for its cool, chunky shape, but also because it comes in seven exotic wood, white, black, and red color combos, with more being introduced this year. Choose one and buy it now [10] for $1,000-$1,169.

Babyletto Harlow Acrylic

Mark your calendars for April, when Babyletto's new Harlow Acrylic [11] ($799) will be making its debut. With its white frame, gray base, and acrylic side slats, your baby will always have a clear view of her stylish world.

DaVinci Baby's Customized Jenny Lind

Jenny Lind might be a classic style (and one of our personal favorites, by the way), but DaVinci [12] Baby is taking its Jenny Lind crib [13] up a notch this year. The crib is now available [14] for $200 in ebony, cherry, and white finishes, but soon, you'll be able to totally customize it. For $599, you can choose any color and DaVinci will have it painted for you in its factory.
