Buying furniture for a baby's nursery can drive a mama mad, especially when the prices of some pieces are more than her paycheck. The folks at Design Milk have figured out one way to justify buying the posh NettoCollection’s Loft Changing Table.

Some people don't believe changing tables are necessary while others can't live without them. A $1650 changing table and dresser seems a tad outrageous, but if you can extend the lifetime of the fancy dresser into a spinning table or living room addition, it may not sound so bad. Just don't tell your friends that you used to wipe poop off the turntable's current resting spot.

I think it's pretty rad--I love anything convertible, especially if it converts to a media center!

I don't even have a baby and I want that changing table. Maybe I could use it as a stereo stand first, then a changing table.

I assumed "spinning table" was like a sound system table, although I didn't think most people had turntables anymore.

Eh that's pretty ugly and way too expensive. "I prefer the whole dresser with a changing area on top idea. It just stays the child's dresser for a few years once the changing table is no longer needed." I agree Greggie. And I must be pretty out of it ... what is a spinning table?

my dad got crafty with my little sisters- he took like a tray table and screwed it to the top of a dresser. Sounds weird but functionality wise it was awesome.

I also have to say, that thing is ugly. Even at $100 I doubt I'd buy it. I prefer the whole dresser with a changing area on top idea. It just stays the child's dresser for a few years once the changing table is no longer needed.

my changing table was the bottom of an ethan allen server that my down stairs neighbor left out in the rain with a "free" sign on it. it's the exact same size as the cushion you put on top, so it must be standard. there's a shelving unit that attaches if you want that makes it into a hutch. i've gotten more use out of that piece than anything i've ever had. i'm betting that lots of pieces are this measurement.

Yeah, I agree with roxtarchic. Not a tad outrageous, completely outrageous. Not to mention, even if you factor in what you'd spend in a "lifetime" on a table and think it evens out, it means you always have to decorate around it.
