National Cookie Day: Blooming Bouquets

If you're like me and constantly stumped on what to get friends who have just given birth, cookie bouquets are a good solution. Blooming Cookies are a hit with hungry new moms and their partners nibbling on hospital food. Send the sweet treats in lieu of flowers since they are a pleasant break from the standard roses and balloons.

Cute, but they are much cheaper to do yourself. Candy bar bouquets are a good idea too Greggie!

The only thing I'd recommend is to be sure they allow "outside" food. The hospital where I had my oldest son wouldn't have allowed a cookie delivery. The last candy bar bouquet I sent was something like $40, but it was like 18 full-size candy bars.

Candy bar bouquets?...that sounds pretty cool! I suppose you could put one of these cookie bouquets together yourself for much much cheaper. :D Yeah...i dont really like getting flowers unless they are potted. I just hate seeing cut flowers die...its kinda sad. :(

Its a great alternative...but i found that the cookie bouquets are just as expensive as flowers..if not more. It can run about 40 dollars for about 4-5 cookies. Yikes!!

I love this idea! I've done candy bar bouquets as well. I personally am not a fan of flowers and can never figure out where to put them at home, so they just get tossed when we leave the hospital. This leaves something behind. :)
