Mommy's Lil Helper: Wet Diaper
Mommy's Lil Helper: Wet Diaper
As a new mom, I was told that my baby should be peeing no less than six to eight times a day and pooping at least twice. Because I was nursing, I really couldn't tell how much she was taking in so I was dependent on her wet diapers to tell me.
My husband and I couldn't tell so we got nervous when she had to go in for a weight check two days later. We confessed to the doctor and she let us in on a lil secret: Put a cotton ball or a piece of tissue in the diaper and if that gets wet then you will know. Disposable diapers are so absorbent that sometimes you can't tell. So unless you are a green mama and use cloth diapers (good for you), put this trick up your sleeve.
