You have to do more than sign a paper with accutane. You have to get monthly blood tests to check your lipids, liver, and for pregnancy. You also have to take a quiz every month online before the Ipledge program will confirm that you're able to get the medication that month. Although, I just came off of it in November and my skin looks beautiful!

Sudafed is generally considered safe during pregnancy. Pseudoephedrine should be avoided in the first trimester, but without any other medical issues involved, it's ok from there on out, assuming you've had the risk/benefit discussion with your doctor and all symptoms are discussed. If you're prone to sinus infections, for instance, the benefits may far outweigh the supposed risks. If you have high blood pressure, it's a definite no. That all being said, Lilsugar is extremely fond of taking WebMD's word as God and not researching other options, and then thinking just sticking a "speak to your doctor" warning lets her off the hook. Of course, taking a quiz with GERD listed as a medication makes it pretty clear that the person writing the article has little to no medical knowledge and shouldn't be trusted.

Also, Sudafed should not be taken. I don't know where this information is from, but if it contains pseudoephedrine or phenylephedrine you're not supposed to take it when pregnant.

GERD isn't a medication, it's the actual name for reflux disease. WTH? Also, you can take Excedrin, just not the formula with aspirin in it unless it's been thoroughly discussed with your doctor. And lastly, Immodium can be used at any point during pregnancy, depending on the symptoms and causes.
