Staying in shape while pregnant is hard enough on its own. And finding active wear that fits but doesn't pinch in all the wrong places? Not as easy as it sounds. So today I'm showing you guys some maternity wear I've been working out in, and what's worth scooping up to make your prenatal workouts a little more comfortable. I've reviewed my maternity wear picks on fabric, fit, size and if it shrinks in the wash. First up is the maternity cool down tank from Fit To Be Mom, which is great for summer. And because it has a fairly open back I love to wear it for my arm workout. It's made of Supplex which is a cotton-like fabric, but with advanced fiber technology, it means it's more breathable than your average cotton tank. Plus it holds its shape and dries faster, all great things when you're working out. Now I like the fit of this a lot. It complements the baby bump nicely without being too tight and I love the V-neck and the thick straps. It also feels really light, I can move around pretty easily. One thing I do wish is that it had a little more support and padding in the breast area. I had to wear my sports bra underneath. The material is just a little bit thin. This tank is true to size but you can even order a little larger if you want more baggy tank for your workout. When watching I recommend drying it on a cool cycle so it doesn't shrink. I love wearing these Me2Roo Piper ruched leggings to yoga and around town. They are also great for lounging around because they are super comfortable. They're made of nylon Lycra, a superior performance fabric that allows for breathability and stretch. They're tight, but not too tight. And they leave room in the thigh area so you can move easily during your workout. This waistline is a little snug around the underside of the belly, but I do like the thickness. They run pretty true to size and are shrink and fade resistant, so you can throw them in the wash without a worry. Overall I love them, they're comfy, super stretchy, and they have this side ruching, which is super cute. Now, this maternity and nursing tee from Mountain Mama is absolutely my favorite right now, which is why I'm wearing it. It doubles as a tee for your workouts, plus it transitions into nursing, so you'll want to hang onto it once your baby is here. It has a double layer cross-front design that makes easy access for nursing. It's made of a stretchy, light fabric It's really comfortable. I like to wear it when I'm not working out too, just around town. It has what they call a "belly-glove fit." Which is totally accurate because it fits my belly just right making mom and baby pretty happy. It comes true to size, fits my arms and shoulders pretty well, and it's not too loose in the armpits. So the sleeves are a perfect length. And you can throw it in the wash without sacrificing its fit. Another pair of leggings on my list is the Dova maternity essential capri. These are good for yoga too and honestly I wear these everywhere. No one will even know that you're wearing yoga pants. These are made with stretch fabric that allows full freedom of movement. And the capri length is super cute. And they don't stretch out while you're working out, so no baggy knees. I love the fit of these. They hug right under the belly, which makes them super comfortable. And they stay put because they have this thick waistline that doesn't go up too high. These also runs true the size and they hold up well on the wash. This movement tank is from Mountain Mama, it's great for yoga and other workouts and solves a lot of stretching and bending. Plus the straps on the back are a great added bonus. They're super cute and they keep the tank in place while you move. The fabric on this oneit 's a little thicker than other tanks, but it still feels comfortable and light enough. It also has that belly glove fit. It fits really snug on my belly and I like that it's long enough to actually cover it. However, it's looser in the chest area and doesn't offer a ton of support. One thing I love is that it has tagless labels so they don't itch or scratch as you move around. How smart is that? This tank runs slightly large on me. Now I'm a small and you can see it's a bit loose, so you could order a size smaller if you like. It 's also machine washable and it keeps its fit. I hope the rest of you moms-to-be are staying healthy, fit, and comfortable during your pre-natal workout. We'll see you next time on Fit Sugar TV.
