The good old days of dropping into your local salon are over, or are they? Mani and Nanny makes having a tot and nail touch up possible.

The swank nail salon caters to mothers who are in need of sprucing up their pretty appendages with the kids in tow. Starting at $10, a well–trained nanny will watch one child while mama has her fingernails polished. If she's got another babe, it's an additional $5. Pampered moms can relax as they watch their children on a flat screen television or through a one-way mirror. Not too shabby. The actual manicure runs $20 while the pedicure is $30. The ability to conveniently do it all at once in your child's company may be worth the extra dime in the bucket.

I can easily get the hour or two away on the weekends, since my husband's home all day. It's just one of those things I'd prefer to do on a weekday since it's much less crowded. I like to do other things on my couple of me-time hours on the weekends.

Greggie- I know what you are saying about it being frivolous as it is the first thing that gets dropped off my weekend "things to do" list. Ims- it's funny you mention the thing about being rejuvenated. I find having even that little bit of time away gets me to the point where I miss the husband and cranky baby and can't wait to be back.

Okay. Maybe not that friend, but hopefully another one. An hour or two away for me when my daughter was little worked wonders and got me rejuvenated.

I don't think in general it is, it's just that asking a friend for that favor when she normally covers dr appts or bloodwork, it feels odd asking. :)

They have these all over Japan. You can get neck and foot massages too!

I would absolutely do this! I've been wondering how to work in a pedicure while the boys are at school, and if my daughter would just sit in my lap for it. I feel silly asking my friend to watch her while I do something as frivolous as a pedicure. This would be a perfect solution.
