You can never be too careful when it comes to your kids. Sexual predators are brazen so parents need to be aware of who their children are with at all times whether they are at a the local playground, a family event or even the children's section of a bookstore. And, as an adult it's important to trust your instincts and err on the side of caution rather than dismissing something as a fleeting feeling and have your offspring pay the price.
A southern Californian girl was reading a book at Borders when she was molested by a sex offender who had at least one prior for the same offense. The five-year-old was in plain sight of adults, but the perpetrator used subtle tactics to victimize her. The man was caught on tape so watch the unsettling footage for yourself.

8It's actually not her father. It's a man who doesn't even know them but noticed the behavior. He's the same one who then went over registered sex offender sites to find the man and report him so they were able to catch him.
That man deserves several medals.

This was his "more than once." His record is for one similar offense, making this his "repeat."
I don't think that makes it any better, or that he should've been let out the first time around.

17Awful! My husband would have killed him right there - no questions asked. I don't think child molesters deserve second chances. You forfeit your right to a second chance when you touch a child. The consequences of such a crime are just too tragic to warrant a second chance. We need to have a way that makes us more aware when these predators are near our children. It is outrageous that this type of person could get anywhere near the children's section in a bookstore . . . I could go on . . . makes me so angry.

The guy that helped really deserves to be knighted, given sainthood, or something! That is just amazing! It gives me hope for our screwed up world that there are people out there that would go to such lengths to do the right thing!

32Peepshow — I called the Arcadia Police Department last night for more information. All the operator could do was read me the press release and there was nothing in it about the girl's parents.
33They could very well have been close by and missed it. He does it very quickly and I doubt even the guy who tackled him would've notice if he hadn't just happened to look directly at her at that moment. They may understandably not want any of their personal information released for the girl's privacy as well.

Once in there you strip him off from his pants down.
You then have him kneel down next to the stump (which was put there ahead of time)
You then take a railroad spike, and drive it FIRMLY through his Private Part ONTO the Stump.
Now, While he's begging for mercy and screaming from the pain, hand him a dull knife.... Step outside the barn and light fire to the barn!
He can either cut his own privates off (which he would bleed to death before he made it to any "local" hospital) or he will BURN!

He does it in a matter of a couple of minutes, not over an extended amount of time. Her parents may very well have been nearby and just not happened to look at that exact moment.
I just have a hard time blaming the parents for this man's behavior. Watching the video, I can see how a parent could be close by, very attentive, and still have missed it. Maybe they weren't, I don't know. But I don't feel right assuming they caused it.

I don't think they caused it, and obviously it was mistake and they didn't intentionally put their child in harms way... but I think this could've easily been prevented.
I'm sure the parents feel awful, and that's gonna be something they have to live with for the rest of their lives.
