It seems that every so often designers set their sights on a certain baby product and see how far they can push it into the future. The Mamaroo Bouncer ($200) is a tricked out baby seat that uses micro-robotics to move in five distinct motions – kangaroo, car ride, tree swing, ocean wave, and rock-a-bye – all created to simulate ways moms calm their tots. With five built-in nature sounds, as well as an MP3 player hookup, five distinct speeds and an LCD display screen, it looks (and acts) more like something out of the Jetsons than a product you'll find at your local baby emporium. Does the Mamaroo have you loosening your purse strings?
