Baby likes to rock, but mama needs to roll? The Lolaloo ($183) is a battery-operated device that attaches directly to a carriage's handlebars to soothe a baby to sleep so mama can be hands-free while her small fry slumbers. Currently only available in Europe, the quiet product can be adjusted to rock at your baby's preferred speed. Would you invest in this lulling gadget?

Yeah, I took it as this woman is at a coffee shop, etc., so using a crib wouldn't be an option.

We would at home, but it sounds like this product is supposed to be for "on the go." If it's supposed to be for home, then I definitely vote that it's ridiculous.

When our son was an infant and needed to be rocked to sleep when we weren't able to hold him we would just put him in his swing. He hated sleeping in his stroller.

I don't think it's a lazy way to do it, I just think the price is ridiculous. I have a clip on white noise machine that I got for $15 at Babies R Us ten years ago that can also play music and does the job just fine. I agree about the picture being a bad selling point with a child that old. I'm all for soothing my kids to sleep, but I think a better advertisement would be a sleeping baby at the age when you spend hours walking the floor to get them to calm down.

i guess when you attach it to a $900 stroller, a $200 gadget doesn't seem that ridiculous...actually, no, it does. and for us, a kid that old should be in a crib. baby sleep books suggest that a bed is the best place for a nap, after a certain age. but whatever.

Though I don't know if I would ever buy it, I think it is a really cool concept. I've spent countless hours shaking the carriage in hopes of settling a child down, so I can definitely see how beneficial it can be.
