Nobody wants to spend a lot of money on something they're only wearing for nine months, so many expectant mamas share maternity clothes. Which clothes are worth investing in for yourself? Liz Lange outlined a handful.
"If you're somebody that works, then your key pieces are suiting. If you're someone that’s home all the time, its denim. But I could say that in today’s world denim has become a real staple. [At Target] we have a dark denim jean that goes under the belly, but we do them in every single wash and every single fit, so I think denim is important. A great layering basic t-shirt [is] something you’re really going to live in. You're going to throw a cardigan over it. You might throw a blazer over it; you might wear it on its own. You might pair it with shorts. A dress is a must have. It's the easiest way to look [great] when you’re pregnant; it’s definitely the coolest over the Summer. It's something that you can definitely dress up and dress down. I think you should look to replicate the pieces that you live in when you’re not pregnant."
