Oh I think it's just a fun book. I don't think reading it to your child will turn him or her into a snob. If you're worried about nursery rhymes, you should read the old mother goose books. I have literally crossed about half of them out. They are awful. And Babar, which is a beloved tale, is married to his cousin! ha. I just think we are so sensitive sometimes.

Yeah, Party, but would you read it to your child??? I don't think a kid would know the difference between jokey and real, and next thing you know she/ he would be reciting the rhymes to you at Bloomingdale's expecting a new pair of Prada shoes. ;)

If I was ever to have a baby (which my crazy, single gal partying lifestyle just does not permit) I would totally want someone to get me this book. It's absolutely fabulous!
